I love my Retriever. It lets me read and post on the forums while only looking at EVE once every few minutes to cycle the ore to the can, unlike my Brutix where I was strapped to my chair. It also pops individual rocks much faster, leading to an inflated sense of how much I'm mining.
Note: Fairly pointless thread I made because I'm bored. Oh wait, TWO simultaneous "Asteroid Depleted"s sounded while I was typing this! Sweet!

popping rocks means alot of wasted time, alot more so then regular mining lasers.
Just thought i'd ruin your day. 
I realize that, so I have fitted a survey scanner to time when I should turn them off.
Not that I ever use it.

if you swap out one of the mining laser upgrades for a Co-Processor II you get 1190m3 yield and can fit a better shield tank as follows.

1x Thermal Hardener II
1x EM Hardener II
3x Large Shield Extenders
Or, I could go straight back to being strapped to the ******* chair just for a little bit more yield.
Christ, I didn't get into the Retriever for more yield, I did it to be more comfortable mining.

why not just go with a covetor exactly? Wouldn't that give you the most yield 'and' make mining less effort and more comfortable?
I definately want to get a rokh and 'only' use it for mining veldspar in 0.5+ sectors, haha
I'm not in the frame of mind to train 3 more weeks for the bloody 3'rd strip.
